If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Lieutenant Jarolimek to discuss the process and to consider completing an application form.
Currently our Volunteer roster is FULL. We will maintain a roster of 40 Volunteers. When a spot opens up, we will utilize our wait list based on application submission and interview with CBFPD about being a prospective volunteer. Once accepted, the next steps are as follows:
Come to a 6:00 pm Thursday evening meeting/training session (See Calendar for Fire versus EMS dates) at Station #2 (See Fire Division for address/directions). You might want to arrive a little early. Introduce yourself to anyone and tell them you’re interested in joining or learning more about the department. Fill out an application. Stick around and see what the department is all about. Keep coming to the training meetings. You might want to call the department ahead of time just to make sure that there is, indeed, going to be something happening at the station the evening when you’re planning to make your first visit.
Unfortunately because of the rigorous nature of this job and the safety of prospects, we can not directly involve you in the physical trainings without being under our volunteer coverage (should an injury occur).
We’re looking forward to meeting you!
