Here are the first steps, in a nutshell:
Come to a 6:00 pm Thursday evening meeting/training session (See Calendar for Fire versus EMS dates) at Station #2 (See Fire Division for address/directions). You might want to arrive a little early. Introduce yourself to anyone and tell them you’re interested in joining or learning more about the department. Fill out an application. Stick around and see what the department is all about. Keep coming to the training meetings. You might want to call the department ahead of time just to make sure that there is, indeed, going to be something happening at the station the evening when you’re planning to make your first visit.
