Robert Weisbaum

Robert Weisbaum

EMS & Fire Chief/Chief Operating Officer

I began my career in emergency services in 2000. I first worked as an EMT in Detroit, MI. While working as an EMT, I was furthering my career by attending Paramedic school. I began working as a Paramedic in 2001. I always wanted to pursue a career in EMS and Fire. In 2004, I attended Fire academy and achieved my Firefighter 1 and 2 certifications. I transitioned into a combination fire dept then went on to become a fulltime career paramedic firefighter. A major event in my life helped me decide my next move to advance my career as a paramedic. Skydiving was my passion which came to an end following a skydiving accident. I was flown as a patient in a helicopter. This was my inspiration to become that role – the flight medic. In 2008, I began my career as a full time Flight Paramedic. I am now pleased to say I’m part of CBFPD and look forward to a long career here. I’m an outdoor enthusiast. Skiing, biking and climbing are some of my passions.
